Ford Sierra XR4i 2.8
I purchased this XR4i from old gentleman about 2 years ago. He had it from new from a local garage, which was bizarre because I was working there at the time so I may have seen it from new !
The car is a XR4i 2.8 1983 on a A reg. Its previous owner has looked after it very well. It has never seen a winter and as far as I can see, he replaced any thing it needed.
The engine, gearbox is all standard. The interior is unmarked and the bodywork is about the same.
The parts that I have changed are:
Wolf Race wheels on 205/40/17 tyres
Magnex stainless exhaust
AVO front shocks & springs
Kenwood head unit.
I have retained the pepper pot wheels and other items so it can be returned back to standard.
A recent service with a decoke and tune was also carried out and a mandatory Cat1 Clifford security system fitted.
Future plans are just to keep replacing parts even if the don't need doing ! But the new brake discs, pads and clutch were much needed. I have to admit that I just like working on it !
The wife and I are looking forward to going to one of the XR4 Register Shows in 2007, with a view to meeting the so called 'motley crew'!
