 Welcome to the XR4Register website

The Brief:
After visiting our website and also hearing about Gengis's 4x4 from a fellow XR4 member, Performance Ford were eager to report on Gengis's Sierra XR4x4 Twin Turbo monster. Discussions between Gengis and Performance Ford, a decision was made; a Grudge Match challenge was on the cards! Entitled 'Sierra Showdown', the next question was to find a worthy challenger...... this came in the form of Dangerous Daz and his Sierra XR4x4 3.0 Turbo.

The Cold:
On a rather cold and wet Friday morning, a few soggy, but eager members of the XR4 Register (Gengis, Daz, Ross & Bhav) braved the weather & made their way to Bruntingthorpe, to meet and greet the Performance Ford magazine guys.

They couldn't have picked a worse day for a grudge match, it was chucking it down! Considering the weather conditions, neither Gengis nor Daz broke their personal best times. However, they still produced some really good times to be proud of.

Watch out for these two at shows throughout our show season, as they will be out there trying to beat their best times. Hopefully they will have better weather on their side during the summer months.

Just for a Laugh:
The sky was grey & damp under foot but under the shelter of a Cargo plane, the guys were still up for the challenge.

Lots of fighting talk took place, followed by various poses for the camera. Eye to Eye, Daz and Gengis battle it out for the camera.

Smoke & Speed:
The need for speed was next. Both Gengis and Daz pushed their cars as much as possible in the wet and slippery conditions. They both underwent the 0-60, 1/4 mile and top speed challenge. Daz, obviously had to have a play... burning some rubber and creating some smoke for the camera just had to be done. Unfortunately, Gengis tried his best but due to his super slick & grippy tyres, his 4b was having none of it.

The Results:
0-60: 4.97 secs 5.65 secs
1/4 mile: 13.70 secs @ 105.04mph 14.09 secs @ 100.92mph
Max Speed: 137.89mph 137.08mph
