It didn't seem like it was a year ago since the last 'infamous' Christmas Bash took place at the Courtyard in Leamington Spa. Surprisingly, we were back there this year without any problems...

'You are invited to step through the wardrobe and enter the wonderful world of Narnia'.

This was the brief we received from the Courtyard, as this year they decided to have a purpose built Giant Marquee with connecting marquees with the bar all adjoining the hotel. The Courtyard had decorated the Marquee in the theme of Narnia.

With 3 tables filled with XR4 Register members, it was no surprise that we would be the first to break the silence! The evening had barely started and we had set off with fun and games ! With pulling crackers, wearing funny hats and of course no party evening would be complete without the oversized novety balloons in all shapes and sizes ! If dinner and double helpings of puddings wasn't enough, some of the crew were feeding on the helium filled balloons, which obviously did not stayed filled for long and made everyone sound like Bart Simpson except Bart (aka Al) who sounded normal !

It was nice to have the 'regular' crew there, however, this year we also had the company of Ralph, Sharon, Bryoney & Hayley. We also had the company of Shrek (Gary) and Sharon. Gengis joined us during the latter part of the evening for a few drinks to 'wet the babys head' so to speak.

Around 12.30am, the disco had finally finished and most of us raided the bar with a round or 3 and we headed back to Bhav's 'Pimp my room party'. Around 20+ people filled the 'double' room and it looked like it was going to rock !

However, the party did not last too long... Ando Antics... ? we hear you say... Sadly Ando and his sidekick Doyley retired early as they are knocking on a bit, so they could not be blamed for Pablo's foot tapping (stomping) Sammy Davies Jr impressions ! So...for the first time ever, we were evicted for making too much noise.. ooops.... ok they did warn us twice !

Much to their misfortune, they agreed to Caz's request for us to vacate down to the bar and lounge area where the pimp my room party went 'on tour' till the small hours of Sunday morning! Most of us were still there drinking till around 4.30am !

Eventually we filtered off to our rooms for some much needed sleep, whilst some of the die hards carried on with the party in Bhav's room till around 6am... its no wonder he missed breakfast the next day, no he didn't wake up late!, he would still be there clearing up the aftermath if it wasn't for Caz & Pikey's help!

Another year gone and as Caz steps down from all but one of her roles (Web Mistress), new plans are a foot for 2007. A bit early we hear you say... yes but we have to find a different venue after this one !!!
