 Welcome to the XR4Register website

The XR4Register at the Spring Restoration Show 28th March 2004

Project 1:
Richards XR4i - Convert rack and pinon steering to power assisted steering.

Project 2:
Bhavs XR4x4 - Prevent and cure rust of arches and sills.

The main project on the day was to convert 'spinach' assisted steering to Power assisted steering, on Richard's Mk I XR4i.

His car was driven in with normal Steering and a load if empty spinach cans and then driven out with Power assisted steering all functioning correctly. Good job really as Richard 'Popeye' had used up his last stash of the green stuff !. All fitted and with time to spare and had a spot of lunch c/o Mrs Thaker's thick cut sandwiches !

Thanks to all those that turned up even if some of you did have hangovers (Neil & Ray!) & also to John B, Yam Yam, Richard W and Bhav for helping with Richard's aka 'Popeye's car!

Richard is now slumbing it, as he can now drive with one finger on the steering wheel. (you owe us pal, the money u save on the spinach alone has gotta be worth Breakfast, dinner, lunch and a few drwinks later mate! by the way we DON'T DO SPINACH !
