The XR4Register - European Ford Event, Holland Weekender 2006

The road trip that was planed months ago (thanks to Jaffa our resident continental Yorkie eater!) caught us by surprise. Trax had barely finished and it was time to pack our bags for the XR-RS Show in Holland !

The final count of people that were going, come hell or high water was 13. John Mc & Glen 'fiddich' in the Nessy Monster (XR4i ZX300 TT powered), Gengis & Andy in the Concourse 2.9TT, John B & two kids in the XR4x4 2.0, Pikey in the Merkur 4Ti, Jaffa in the XR4x4 BM (Bling Machine), Bhav & Jot in the XR8 and Pete 'Doh' & Lisa in the TVR.

'TVR' ? I hear you say ? Unfortunately Pete had fuel pressure problems with the XR4i and was not able to get it sorted in time for the trip. The words wounded and downer came to mind but he was not missing it for anything and so was taking the TVR instead.

Everyone survived the adventure and all cars came back without any problems... well bar from Bhav who managed to have 5 incidents with his car. Just to keep everyone on their toes eh ? The first one; running out of fuel was on English soil and if 2 insidents of burst hoses on the same day across the pond wasnt enough, the following day someone left his ignition on at the show and draining the 8's battery..... hey Jot!!! All good fun and everyone arrived back in the homeworld with their cars safely. The following pages go into more detail of their journey.
