 Welcome to the XR4Register website

The XR4Register at the Ford Enth Show 4th April 2004

Set-Up weekend - Painters were a big thin on the ground but thanks to Pikey n kids, Bhav and Caz for spending most of their weekend painting & touching up areas of womans and blokes anatomy.

Show Day - Sunday 4th April - This time the theme was: "Summer is Coming", well it certainly was a scorcher on the XR4 Register stand!. First things 1st a BIG thank you to all who attended & also those that helped aswell especially;

John & kids who came with beach balls and inflatable rings but braved the cold by only wearing shirts and shorts!!. He must of got a few strange looks through the car park, no change there really... !, and best not mention the odd looks he got when arriving at the pub after the show where we all supped on a well earnt celebratory drink, (John: note to self bring spare set of clothes!).

Thanks to Gengis for sorting the real sand and other props (even though he wouldn't get his legs out!, perhaps he was scared of the competition with Norman 'Legs 11' & Kev 'Ducky' Dunston no doubt), also Thanks to Mr & Mrs 'Gengis' (his mum and dad) for finding some of the seaside props. I know it must have been hard trying to find seaside items in the middle of Winter!

By no means least thanks to Norman for doing our stand proud with his well cleaned & shimmering XR4x4. Not sure what state it was in when he got it back as Bhav had the privilege of returning it to the 'Brooks' homeland in the middle of the twigs!

We also had our "on tour" pub meet, cheers to all those that stayed till then. Steve 'BB' Wagstaff dropped by and had his first taste of our pub meet (even if it was a bit of an expensive taster as subs & show tickets were due!), good to see yet another member joining the 'motley crew'.

Oh, by the way... did I mention that we came FIRST for 'BEST THEMED STAND' ? Opps... here it is... This show was another success for the XR4 Register as we came 1st place for 'BEST THEMED STAND'! Well done to everyone concerned.

Relax while u can folks as we will have to WORK TWICE AS HARD next time to keep this winning streak going. You have been warned!

Yet again cheers to Mike XROC for sorting the transportation of the display boards. Quick thanks to Pete & Lisa D for staying to help dismantle the stand, least Lisa got a blokes phone number out of the day that's got to be worth getting sand on your shoes for!!!! and even though he couldn't make it due to dib dib dob dob and all that cheers to Ross for sorting the projector out.

I can't mention everyone otherwise this could go on even longer than it already has but you know who u are and its all appreciated.
