 Welcome to the XR4Register website

The XR4Register at...

Last year this was the 1st outing for this show and its success & popularity is certainly growing. Even though it wasn't 'tropical' sunshine like last year, we still had a good turn out with 12 cars. The rain held off all day and it was a tad nippy too, but the cool/damp air conditions were just right for 1/4 mile sprints.

We weren't sure if it was our stand that tempted a visit from Ian C (A & S- Future Publishing) or the obligatory cool 'beer' but thanks to all those that visited our stand & every one that turned up. A warm welcome to Dave for attending his first show with us and also to Ross & Lisa (Sierra to be with us next year hopefully). All in all it was a good show and have already booked for next year!

Big up for Gengis smashing his last years 1/4 mile time, this year he achieved 12.295 seconds with Daz following up the rear with 13.111 seconds. Unfortunately Daz's 3rd run didn't quite go according to plan see pics below, but this is Dangerous Daz so he'll have it fixed, tuned and cooking on gas by the next day!.

1/4 mile times
Gengis 12.295 secs
Daz 13.111 secs
Bhav 14.895 secs
Kev 17. secs (unsure of exact time but it was in the 17's and it was his first try)
Pikey (lowering head in shame, bless him)

Daz's car had a new turbo on it 2 days before this event and every thing 'seemed' to be working ok but it was going like a rocket on his 3rd run and 'blew out'!. It still beat his mates M3 as he coasted the rest of the way!. After looking at the damage, it wasnt too serious. The dump valve had some how got stuck. It boosted and boosted till something gave way....

First time out for Kev & Pikey on the track, think we need to explain that Green usually means go!. Both Pikey & Kev have a few running problems at present but least they can use this experience as a bench mark and next time its... GREEN for Go!.
