Fiesta in the Park

Description : The XR4 Register will be having a stand at this show. For those who have not been to the venue before, Wicksteed Park is one of the leading Leisure Parks in the UK. It was created by Charles Wicksteed in 1921 within a non-profit making trust "In order to change the lives for the better, of thousands of children". He was not only a talented engineer and inventor , but also a true philanthropist. Since that date, Wicksteed Park has expanded into a significant Leisure Park aimed at the whole family, and at children aged 4 - 14 in particular. The Park has 180 acres of Lakes and Parkland within which there are over 40 activities for every one to enjoy. Last years show was a great success with over 800 cars from various Ford clubs (not just fiestas!) and more trade stands than ever before attending. Entrance fee on the gate is £5 each. There are also trophies to be won: Spirit of the FIESTA - Awarded to the car that reflects the spirit of the Fiesta, clean, standard (or close to it), used daily. Best Visiting Car - The car judged to be the best non-club car at the show. Car of the show - The Car that stops you in your tracks , mad, bad or both. No need to register for these awards they are chosen from ALL the cars on display, the awards are made at the end of the day...leave early at your own risk!.
